SPRINGFIELD, IL – State Sen. Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) offered the following comments after the Illinois Senate adjourned the regularly-scheduled spring session on May 31.
“Our work is incomplete. I stand ready to work with my fellow lawmakers to reach a solution. The continued insecurity and instability is what seems to be the worst for our constituents. We have a duty to pass a balanced budget and when will the legislative majority learn that we cannot continue to ‘tax and spend’ our way to prosperity,” Fowler said. “In the few months that I have been the Senator for the 59th District, I have tried to fight for my constituents by being a voice for common-sense. After 15 years of unbalanced budgets, and an attempt at a 16th unbalanced budget, we can’t continue the same broken routine.”
