On March 18, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker announced a “bridge” phase between Phase 4 and Phase 5 of his original Restore Illinois Plan.
State Senator Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) issued the following statement after the Governor’s announcement:
“While I am encouraged that the Governor is hearing Republican calls to allow Illinois to move closer to a full reopening, I continue to urge his Administration to recognize the importance of transparency and bipartisan cooperation in the decision-making process.
“I believe that the safety and wellbeing of the people of this state is everyone’s top priority, and together we can create a plan to fully open businesses, bring students back to their classrooms and build a stronger future for Illinois.”
