State Senator Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) has released the below statement following the Senate passage of a bill to ban so-called “assault-style” weapons in the state:
“Our constitutional rights should have never been up for negotiation and because of today’s actions in the Senate, law-abiding gun owners will be punished and turned into criminals.
“This anti-gun bill targets some of the most popular sporting and self-defense firearms sold today while doing little to nothing about actual gun crimes. I stand behind law-abiding gun owners, which is why I opposed this blatantly unconstitutional legislation.”
