| Senator Fowler joined state leaders and project stakeholders to celebrate the opening of the Walker’s Bluff Casino Resort in downtown Carterville. The project was made possible following gaming legislation passed by Sen. Fowler in 2019 which was an important step in moving the project forward. Senator Fowler says this investment will bring hundreds of new jobs to the area and benefit the local economy. |
Recently, Senator Dale Fowler attended a historical groundbreaking ceremony at Saline River Farms to announce a new $80 million meat processing facility off Route 166 in Williamson County. Senator Fowler says the economic impact this investment will have will be felt all around Southern Illinois, creating 400 new local jobs. The meat packing facility is forecasted to process 40,320,000 pounds of beef and 19,152,000 pounds of pork annually.
