State Senator Dale Fowler once again needs your help in putting a smile on senior citizens’ faces across the 59th District as a part of his annual Valentines for Seniors Card Drive.
“Every year the community comes together to show their love and respect for our seniors and it’s incredibly humbling knowing we have so much constituent support for this program,” said Senator Fowler. “My office receives thousands of beautiful cards to deliver to senior facilities across the district and I look forward to hand-delivering them again this year.”
Sen. Fowler is asking students, scout groups, churches, families, and other groups to consider creating homemade cards that will be delivered to nursing homes, assisted-living facilities, and other long-term care facilities throughout the 59th Senate District.
Cards can be dropped off from now until February 5th at Sen. Fowler’s district office at 2 North Vine, 6th Floor, Harrisburg, IL 62946. There will be a drop box inside the office during normal business hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. A small mailbox will be located outside the office for after hour drop-offs.
In 2023, members of the Senate Republican Caucus collected and delivered more than 45,000 Valentines through the program.
