On March 25, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker announced that the state’s income tax deadline will be extended from April 15 to July 15.
State Senator Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) issued the following statement in response to the Governor’s action:
“I applaud the Governor for recognizing that many Illinois residents are facing serious economic hardships during this time and taking action to extend the state’s income tax deadline to provide a small measure of relief to Illinois taxpayers.”
Illinois joins the 34 other states who have extended their deadlines.
