State Senator Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) has been named a Champion of Free Enterprise by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce for his contributions to the defense of free enterprise and job opportunities for all Illinoisans.
“We are pleased to name Senator Fowler a recipient of the Illinois Chamber Champion of Free Enterprise Award,” said Illinois Chamber President and CEO Lou Sandoval. “A true advocate for the interests of Southern Illinois, Senator Fowler’s tireless dedication to his district and his unwavering support of employers and job creators through his voting record makes it a privilege to honor him with this award.”
The Illinois Chamber of Commerce evaluated legislators based on their voting records on key business legislation that impacts Illinois’ business community. The Champion of Free Enterprise Award is reserved for legislators whose voting record supports policies that drive economic development, create jobs, and reduce regulatory burdens on businesses.
As one of the largest business voices in the state, the Illinois Chamber represents a wide range of employers, from small entrepreneurs to large international companies located in every community in Illinois.
“Our state’s business community is the backbone of our economy, and at a time where they face increasing taxes and burdensome regulations, it’s more important than ever that lawmakers prioritize pro-growth, pro-business policies,” said Senator Fowler. “I am honored by this recognition and proud to stand with the businesses of Southern Illinois and the job creators who drive our state’s bright future.”
