Senator Fowler ready to continue his work on behalf of Southern Illinois

SPRINGFIELD – State Sen. Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) participated in inaugural ceremonies of the Illinois Senate as the 104th General Assembly convened Jan. 8 in the State Capitol Building.

Illinois Supreme Court Justice Mary Kay O’Brien administered the oath of office to newly elected Senators. Sen. Fowler has served in the Senate since 2016.

“It’s an amazing honor to serve the 59th District. I will continue to work hard to grow our economy and to showcase the beauty of Southern Illinois and the amazing resiliency of the good people who call it home,” Sen. Fowler said. “With the convening of a new two-year General Assembly, we renew our commitment to serve our great state and welcome the opportunities awaiting all Illinoisans.”

Sen. Fowler says bipartisan pension reform, balanced budgets, and common-sense economic growth initiatives continue as his legislative priorities to help boost jobs and bring economic prosperity to Southern Illinois communities.

The 59th Senate District in Southern Illinois includes all or part of the following counties: Alexander, Pulaski, Massac, Johnson, Pope, Union, Williamson, Saline, Hardin, Jackson, Franklin, White, Hamilton, and Gallatin.
