On January 28, State Senator Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) joined his Senate Republican colleagues to issue a letter to Governor J.B. Pritkzer asking for the Administration to answer for failures with the ongoing rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Currently, Illinois ranks 47th in overall vaccine distribution.
After submitting the letter to the Governor, Senator Fowler issued the following statement:
“The purpose of our letter is straightforward. My colleagues and I are seeking transparency and understanding as to why Illinois’ overall vaccine distribution has fallen so behind on the national scale and why some of our most vulnerable residents still do not have access to a vaccine.
“For months, many people of this state have lived in fear and now, after all this time, we have a path forward in a way of a vaccine. What we need now is to ensure that everything is being done to help bring relief to our citizens and that we are proactively working toward a return to safe normalcy as quickly and efficiently as possible. The people of Illinois deserve our due diligence and we ask that the Governor provide answers to our questions.”
