State Senator Dale Fowler is pleased to announce nearly $35,000 in state-sponsored public school library grants have been approved for library programs in the 59th Senate District.
“Libraries play a critical role in the everyday lives of the residents across the 59th District,” said Senator Fowler. “Whether it’s the technology furnished, or the research needed, it’s great to see 33 different grants awarded to schools across my district so we can better serve the community and surrounding areas we live in.”
The grants are awarded once every fiscal year to support students enrolled in kindergarten through 12th grade. Resources and services provided through the grant include library books, e-books, audiobooks, periodicals, multilingual materials, technology, and programs.
